About SaaS Fieldbook

Practical software research for small teams.

SaaS Fieldbook is an independent editorial project focused on software decisions where price, setup effort and day-to-day usefulness matter more than hype.

Why this site exists

Software pages are good at listing features. Buyers still have to answer harder questions: Does this solve our actual problem? How much work will implementation create? What happens when usage grows? What are the trade-offs? SaaS Fieldbook is built around those questions.

Our evidence labels

Hands-on review

Reserved for products we have actually used in a meaningful workflow. A hands-on label should explain what was tested and what was not.

Vendor research

Used when a page is based on public product documentation, pricing pages and other primary vendor information but hands-on testing is not complete. These pages can be useful, but they are not presented as personal product experience.

Editorial guide

General decision frameworks and operational guidance written independently of a specific vendor.

How we judge a product

Our core criteria are problem fit, time-to-value, setup effort, reliability, total cost, operational risk, data portability and the quality of the exit route. A feature only matters when it improves a real workflow.

Corrections and updates

SaaS products change quickly. Pricing, limits and features can become outdated. Material corrections are welcome through the contact address, and time-sensitive pages include a checked or updated date where practical.

Affiliate relationships

Some pages may eventually contain affiliate links. If a reader buys through one, SaaS Fieldbook may receive a commission at no additional cost to the reader. Commercial relationships do not turn vendor research into a hands-on review and do not guarantee a positive recommendation. See the full affiliate disclosure.
